Civil disputes are among the most common and yet most consequential legal matters individuals and businesses face — from contested property titles to unpaid dues, from injunctions against encroachment to suits for damages. At The Juris Consult Law Associates, civil litigation is a core discipline.

We represent clients as plaintiffs and defendants across Delhi's district courts and the Delhi High Court in the full range of civil matters: title suits, possession disputes, recovery suits, injunction applications, declaratory suits, and appeals. We also handle execution proceedings, ensuring that decrees obtained are actually enforced.

Our preparation is thorough. We analyse case law before the first pleading is filed, and we advise clients frankly from the outset about the strength of their position — both to protect them from unnecessary litigation and to ensure they are fully prepared for contested battles.

Civil procedure can be slow, but it can be managed. We plan the procedural course of each matter, track timelines, and keep clients informed at every stage. Every deadline is tracked, every hearing attended personally by a senior advocate.

Family law matters are unlike any other category of litigation. They involve the most personal relationships, decisions with long-lasting consequences for children and extended families, and emotional complexity that can affect judgment. The firm handles these matters with experienced counsel and, where appropriate, a clear preference for negotiated resolution.

We advise and represent clients across the full range of family and matrimonial disputes: divorce (contested and mutual consent), maintenance and alimony, custody and guardianship of children, domestic violence proceedings, and matrimonial property disputes. We handle matters under the Hindu Marriage Act, Special Marriage Act, Muslim Personal Law, and ancillary legislation.

Our approach to family litigation is deliberate. We assess each matter at the outset to understand whether negotiation or mediation is viable — and where it is, we actively pursue it. Protracted family litigation has costs well beyond the legal: we advise clients with that reality in mind.

Where litigation is necessary, we prepare meticulously. Custody matters in particular require careful management of evidence, welfare assessments, and legal argument across multiple hearings. We handle them with the care and continuity they demand.

Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution offer parties a structured, private, and often faster route to resolution — but they require the same quality of preparation and advocacy as court proceedings. The firm represents clients in domestic arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

We represent clients as claimants and respondents in commercial and contractual arbitration. This includes drafting and responding to statements of claim, presenting evidence before arbitral tribunals, and making legal submissions at the hearing stage. We also advise clients whose contracts contain arbitration clauses on the scope and implications of those clauses.

We advise clients on when arbitration is preferable to court litigation — and when it is not. Some disputes are better resolved through lok adalat proceedings or court-annexed mediation. We guide clients toward the process that is most likely to produce a fair, timely outcome at reasonable cost.

Where arbitral awards are challenged or need to be enforced, we handle those proceedings in the Delhi High Court under sections 34 and 36 of the Act.
